About The Course

BEHAVIOURAL CHANGE FOR HEALTHCARE PRACTITIONERS AND COACHES…WHAT IS IT?

Following a very successful programme of in-person behaviour change courses with a spectrum of healthcare professionals, I’m proud to present this in online format starting 30th January 2023.

This 5 week on-line course is designed to address the fundamentals needed to help your patients/clients engage in their own programme of change…and stick to it!

In this 5 week course you will learn:

• How change is perceived and achieved in humans – and why we need to understand this before we try and help our patients/clients.

• How to unlock your patient/client WHY and why this is crucial to their success.

• The role of motivation in change, and how we can impact this as practitioners and coaches.

• Nudge Theory – what a nudge is (and isn’t!) and how you can implement basic nudges to help your clients make decisions.

• How to effectively set goals – that your patients/clients actually want to stick to.

• Motivational interviewing techniques to help you feel more confident in eliciting true change.

• How we can utilise what we know about Neuroplasticity to aide change and success.

• Boundaries and leadership in your practice – and why these ultimately help your patients/clients achieve the results they desire.

Eligibility

A basic level of anatomy and physiology is required, so the course is restricted to healthcare and fitness professionals.

It’s perfect for:

• Osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists
•  Midwives
• Massage therapists
• Yoga and Pilates instructors

Date, Timings and Admin

The course takes place over the weekend of 25-26th March 2023 at APM’s studio in Higham Ferrers.

We’ll start at 10:00am and finish at 5:00pm each day, with a couple of breaks for refreshments and an hour for lunch.

There are no special admin requirements, but (just in case!) please don’t wear stiletto heels – we’re very precious about our studio floor!

Course Fee

This is a 2-day course. The total fee is £499

There’s lots of free parking nearby, but we also have our own car park.

Please use the bays labelled “Ashgrove Clinic” first, but all the other spaces can be used if these are full (nobody else is using the car park at the weekend).
