This is a largely practical course designed specifically to help physical therapists, in particular osteopaths and chiropractors, communicate effectively.

You’ll be learning how to make every consultation count, by developing trust and confidence on the part of your patients.

You’ll be improving compliance with your self-care advice by encouraging your patients to work with you in order to achieve their goals. 

During the day, you’ll be looking at a number of case studies and, if you wish, you’ll be able to use The Academy’s studio to create short video-clips of your work.  These can be very helpful as a reflection tool, but also might be very useful on social media or your practice website.

The course is thoroughly evidence-based and addresses key requirements of your CPD, as directed by the General Councils.  Communication and Patient Partnership is clearly the main element, but you’ll also hone your Professional Skills and Knowledge.

Your Tutor

The tutor is the highly experienced and well-regarded osteopath, Robin Lansman.

Not only is he a practising osteopath, Robin is the founder of COG UK, a speaker skills and leadership training modular programme for health professionals.

He is a communications coach and regularly writes contributions for the national and medical press, speaks on BBC Radio and BBC TV and has taught health professionals throughout the UK and Europe.In this course you’ll get personal supervision from Robin and you’ll leave much more confident in your ability to communicate, not just with patients, but also with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
