About The Course

Prof Hartman has spent over 50 years as one the UK’s premier osteopaths.  He has threatened to retire on numerous occasions in the past, but we have managed to get him to agree to one more course!  This, therefore, is a genuinely rare opportunity to learn from the master.

Over his years in practice, Laurie made it his mission to develop precise, safe, effective techniques for manipulation of every possibly joint, and has lectured across the world on the topic.  Few, if any, can equal his skill in applying high-velocity thrusts.

The expression “minimal leverage” is possibly inaccurate, although we use it here because it is the most widely understood description of this method of working.  In fact, Laurie will show you how to incorporate a multitude of levers, so that the movement itself is tiny, and the stress on the patient minimal.

You can expect very personal supervision – the maximum number Laurie is prepared to teach is 24 (ie 12 students working at any one time).  He is also very responsive to student queries, so if there’s a particular technique that you have trouble with, he’ll willingly demonstrate how you can perfect it.

Date, Timings and Admin

The course takes place over the weekend of 1st – 2nd April 2023 at APM’s studio in Higham Ferrers.

We’ll start at 9:30am and finish at 4:30pm each day, with a couple of breaks for refreshments and an hour for lunch.  From 4:30 – 5:00 you’ll be welcome to continue practising, and Laurie will be on hand to help out with any problems.

Course Fee

This is a 2-day course.  The total fee is £460 (including VAT), and this covers both days, but you can take advantage of a £36 members’ discount, as well as a £24 early booking discount (the latter is available until the 25th of December).  To make things easier, you can secure a place with a deposit of £75 (non-refundable), then 3 instalments of £121.

Your fee includes a superb hot buffet lunch at a very nice nearby restaurant, as well as refreshments throughout the day.

The entrance is from the car park at the rear (you’ll see our sign).

There’s lots of free parking nearby, but we also have our own car park.  Please use the bays labelled “Ashgrove Clinic” first, but all the other spaces can be used if these are full. Nobody else is using the car park at the weekend.
