About The Course
The course is a half-day, online course, led by ex-paramedic Malcolm Parnell. Malcolm has years of experience in first aid issues, is a qualified first aid instructor, and is also certified as an instructor in Mental Health First Aid by MHFAE (Mental Health First Aid England).
This course is delivered live, through Microsoft Teams, and split into a number of sessions, with “breakout groups” as and when appropriate. You’ll need access to the internet, together with a camera and microphone. We’ll send you the link to the course a few days in advance, and we’ll check again on the morning of the course. There’s no need to download any special software.
At the end of the course you will understand the basics of mental health problems, be able to care for yourself and offer support to others.
